JRF is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer with a active history in a variety of creative pursuits. Born from the passion of do-it-yourself, youth culture, he began designing and producing his own stickers, t-shirts, stencils and zines as early as 1985. His creative inspirations are always diverse and take cues from a variety of references, including punk rock and postmodern art. JRF’s graphics for the Obey men's artist series tees are a blend of his formal interests in collage, typography and screenprinting combined with his conceptual interests in consumer culture, mass media and current events. His work typically realizes these interests with a deconstructed balance of both analog and digital techniques.
